Water Bus
Dubai's water buses are one of the best alternatives for exploring Dubai Creek.
Unlike the traditional abra ferry, the water bus is considered a luxury means of transport. The seats are spacious and comfortable, and the vessel has large windows providing excellent views. There are also large television screens for those who get bored of looking at the city.
Lines
There are currently three water bus lines operating in Dubai:
- Dubai Marina Walk - Marina Terrace
- Dubai Marina Mall - Marina Promenade
- Dubai Marina Walk - Dubai Marina Mall
Boats depart every 15 or 20 minutes from 10 am to 11 pm on weekdays and from 12 pm to midnight on Fridays and public holidays.
Fares are between 3 AED (US$ 0.80) and 5 AED per journey and it is also possible to buy a daily pass for 25 AED (US$ 6.80) so you can make as many journeys as you want.
Recommended?
If all you want to do is cross Dubai Creek, the best thing you can do is to take an abra, as they depart every few minutes and the price is only one dirham.
The water bus is useful for traveling further distances. The tourist water bus (line B5) can also be used to travel up and down Dubai Creek making stops at the most important locations.
